Format and Schedule

Drafting Teams

  • Sanctioned teams are those listed in the Official Rules, the Teams of Legends, and the teams sanctioned by the NAF.
  • 1,000,000 Gold starting treasury
  • Teams created for a league cannot include permanent Star Players.
  • All teams must have between 11 and 16 players.

Matches

  • Fixtures: The order of the matches will be generated randomly at the beginning of the season. Scheduling of the matches is the responsibility of the coaches involved.
  • (NEW) Matches should be played in a timely manner aiming for a roughly a match a week. A time limit of 2 weeks will be applied from when the fixture is ready. After this time the match will count as a loss for both teams unless one coach voluntarily concedes due to real life commitments. In this case, the other team wins 1-0, gains D6x10,000 gold pieces and may make two MVP awards.
  • Playoffs: After the end of the season the top 4 teams compete in the playoffs – semi-finals, 3rd place playoff, and final. (If there are enough coaches and two Divisions are in effect, then the top 2 players from both Divisions go forward to the playoffs.)
  • (New) Cross-Division Friendlies: During the regular season, any two coaches that are not in the same division may arrange for their teams to play a friendly game. Each team can play as many or as few friendly games as they wish, but two teams can only pay each other in this manner once. Coaches should note that during the post-game sequence of a friendly, no MVP is awarded and no league points are won. In all other respects, a friendly is treated just like a league fixture i.e Gold pieces, SPPs, Casualties and Deaths are in effect!!
  • League points: 3 points for winning, 1 for draw, 0 for loss
  • Bonus Points: During the regular season bonus points are awarded as follows (The Official RulesĀ  p.98):
    • 3+ touchdowns = 1pt
    • Concede 0 touchdowns = 1pt
    • 3+ casualties = 1pt
  • Tiebreakers: At the end of the season total touchdowns and total casualties will be used, in that order, as tie breakers for teams with equal points
